Life in Abington

Every year Baskin Robbins has a "31 cents a scoop" day, which is treated as a holiday in our house. The Glenside Baskin Robbins uses it as a fundraiser for their fire station. So not only did George Katherine get after dinner ice cream, she got her own helmet and to see firetrucks up close. She even got to spray the fire hose.
One fireman asked if she would live to climb inside and ring the bell. GK was half way up the steps by the time he finished his sentence, and she rang the Bejeebus out of that bell.
For the week following we referred to our VW Rabbit as her "firetruck-car."

Just Annabel for a change
Here she is in the mei tai on a family fall walk. She spends a lot of time in that while Mommy tries to keep up with GK.

Happy in her carseat - a rare event
Here we are playing on the floor of the little girl's room, and GK is demonstrating all of Annabel's toys for her.
Taken just this morning in the Bumpo. We love that little chair.

3rd of July
GK and Godric in the yard - the crown is from her daycare's 4th of July parade.
When GK wanted to go up high in the air with her umbrella (just like Mary Poppins) Daddy obligingly gives her a boost.

Birthday trip to the zoo
For her birthday we took a trip to the zoo with friends. Here they are looking for Polar Bears.
As all birthdays should, this one included cupcakes.
Pony ride! She loved this (and still talks about it.)
Sunny and warm weather in April
A new game with Daddy - run and be tossed.

Fun with Daddy
Have you ever seen a happier child?
She's counting down until Daddy bounces her again.
She does get a little rough in her excitement.

Greenwich, CT
On our way to Newport, RI, we stopped in Greenwich, CT for lunch and to let GK burn some energy. She did so by playing hide and seek around the post office columns.
Finished with that game and off again.

Walking!
With a little support via the back of her dress GK struts around the patio.
Later that day she took her first steps on her own.

Taking a break in front of the Homewood House. GK searches her stroller.
Found them!
Happiness are Goldfish crackers.
