Annabel finds a new game: Empty the Shoe Box. This distracts from her usual game, Is There Anything in the Dog Bowl?, long enough for us to eat breakfast and drink our coffee. Meanwhile, GK is distracted by morning cartoons (and wearing a headband).
Recent discovery: she loves oranges. I gave her a taste of one slice, which she sucked on like it was the nectar of the gods. Then she reached over and grabbed the remaining quarter once that piece was gone.
Every year Baskin Robbins has a "31 cents a scoop" day, which is treated as a holiday in our house. The Glenside Baskin Robbins uses it as a fundraiser for their fire station. So not only did George Katherine get after dinner ice cream, she got her own helmet and to see firetrucks up close. She even got to spray the fire hose.
One fireman asked if she would live to climb inside and ring the bell. GK was half way up the steps by the time he finished his sentence, and she rang the Bejeebus out of that bell.
For the week following we referred to our VW Rabbit as her "firetruck-car."
