Lazy Sunday morning

Annabel finds a new game: Empty the Shoe Box. This distracts from her usual game, Is There Anything in the Dog Bowl?, long enough for us to eat breakfast and drink our coffee. Meanwhile, GK is distracted by morning cartoons (and wearing a headband).

Annual Mother's Day photo

Me and my girls.

Godric found having all of us on the ground to be too exciting for words and could not be persuaded to sit still for a picture.

GK turns 3

Another birthday trip to the zoo with friends. Here they are riding the zoo train.

Feeding a Lorkeet

It was Annabel's first trip to the zoo.

Of course, we stopped for a pony ride.

Here GK is giving me instructions on how to properly brush a goat.

Climbing the wolf statue

Is there a better way to cool off on a warm day than to soak the front of your dress at a fountain?

A good eater

Annabel takes charge of feeding herself.

Recent discovery: she loves oranges. I gave her a taste of one slice, which she sucked on like it was the nectar of the gods. Then she reached over and grabbed the remaining quarter once that piece was gone.

Our Firefighter

Every year Baskin Robbins has a "31 cents a scoop" day, which is treated as a holiday in our house. The Glenside Baskin Robbins uses it as a fundraiser for their fire station. So not only did George Katherine get after dinner ice cream, she got her own helmet and to see firetrucks up close. She even got to spray the fire hose.

One fireman asked if she would live to climb inside and ring the bell. GK was half way up the steps by the time he finished his sentence, and she rang the Bejeebus out of that bell.

For the week following we referred to our VW Rabbit as her "firetruck-car."
